Jewelle Blackman
Jewelle is a Canadian artist and is part of the Original Tony Winning best Musical Hadestown. She is also currently developing her musical “you know my name, not my story” inspired by Nina Simone.
Currently on pause from Broadway where she is part of the Original Tony Winning Best Musical Cast of Hadestown, playing “fate” Jewelle has worked extensively in television/film and theatre across North America. Other credits include the Canadian companies of The Lion King; Dreamgirls; Once On This Island and We Will Rock You. She is currently working in her first musical “you know my name, not my story” inspired by The song Four Women by Nina Simone.
