Ksenia Broda-Milian designer

Ksenia Broda-Milian is a set, costume, and lighting designer, educator, and member of the Associated Designers of Canada. She enjoys creating designs that allow for interaction with performers, and her strength lies in understanding how design elements affect each other as well as the people onstage. She is also intrigued by how design intersects with movement and brings her extensive background of performing and teaching classical music, musical theatre, and dance to each process.

Ksenia’s training includes an MFA in Theatre Design from the University of Alberta, BA Honours in Theatre from the University of Winnipeg, Ghost River Theatre's Devised Intensive, and the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity.

Credits include designs for Prairie Theatre Exchange, Magnus Theatre, Rainbow Stage, Winnipeg Jewish Theatre, Sarasvàti Productions, Winnipeg’s Contemporary Dancers, and Winnipeg Studio Theatre. She has also assisted at the Stratford Festival, Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, and Royal Winnipeg Ballet.

Ksenia has taught classes and workshops for Manitoba Theatre for Young People, Theatre Alberta’s Artstrek, The University of Winnipeg, RMTC, Rainbow Stage, and other outreach programs.
